1. Do you issue instant bans?

If a post is deemed extremely offensive or disruptive you will be issued with an instant ban from the forums. If you repeat this action numerous times you will receive a forum offence. Some offences may be deemed so severe that a permanent ban will be issued straight away.

If you feel you have been given a forum offence in error, you can use the offence appeal system to put your case forward. To do this, log in to your account and go to Account > Account Management > Appeal Offence.

2. How do game punishments affect the forums?

In-game offences and forum offences have the same consequences. If you are banned or muted in-game, you will be unable to post on the forums for the duration of your ban or mute. If you receive a forum mute or ban, your in-game account will receive the same punishment.

3. I have played War of Legends but I don't seem to be able to post on the Forums; why not?

If you are 13 or over and have played War of Legends, but cannot either create a thread on the forums or reply to someone else's thread, then this may have been caused by a temporary ban or mute on your account. The previous answer contains more information about how bans and mutes affect your forum privileges.

4. I have been banned from the forums. Why? What should I do?

This is due to you having broken the rules of the forums. You will be sent a message explaining which rule you broke and when you broke it. Please remember that the forums are also subject to the Rules of Jagex as well as the Forum Code of Conduct. They are also subject to the individual forum-specific rules, which can be found in a stickied thread at the top of each forum. To appeal any forum offences you may have received, you can use the offence appeal system. To do this, go to Account > Account Management > Appeal Offence.

5. Why was my post removed?

It is at the discretion of the moderators if a thread or post should be deleted, so please don't make threads asking why a specific thread was deleted.

If a specific post of yours was edited or removed, it will have been because you have broken one of the main forum guidelines or a forum-specific rule.

If your post was simply in a thread that was removed you do not need to worry.

If you find that you have been warned, or your post has been hidden, please re-read the Rules of Conduct and the Forum Code of Conduct to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Please keep your posts clean and respectful. We will not accept flaming of any kind. Joking around is fine, but being insulting for your own amusement will not be tolerated.

We will not tolerate any kind of harassment.

Debating is fine, insulting is not. Keep debates on topic and DO NOT insult any other user.

Make sure the content that you post is tasteful. Remember, we have males and females of broad age ranges, different religions, race, sexuality, etc. Take some time to think about your post before hitting the 'Post' button.
